Timeless Craftsmanship
The Mayflower is a 1960 Angelman topsail ketch, built of teak by American Marine and designed in Newport Beach by renowned marine architect Hugh Angelman. Angelman was famous for romantic 19th-century designs, like classic brigantines and pirate ships, featuring clipper bows and multiple headsails. As the fifth of about a dozen built, Mayflower is part of a small, recognized lineage valued by wooden-boat enthusiasts. She was specifically designed with Newport and Catalina Island in mind, a fun ship to sail the days away exploring Southern California and the coastline of Catalina.
